Members Only nights at CCC are not usually taped. However, the eldership decided it was valuable to make this content available to the public. In a day when most church’s membership is cheap or nonexistent, CCC’s stand on the issue is found as offensive. Elder, Anthony Sieben, tackles the Church Membership issue and explains why it means so much to us. This teaching was given at the Caldwell Banker building in DeSoto.

This Sunday marks Anthony Sieben’s installment as an “full-fledged” elder of Covenant Community Church. In light of the occasion, Brent took a break from the Book of Romans to teach the qualifications of an elder from 1st Timothy. Brent formerly taught the Pastoral Epistles at Christ For the Nations. Early in 2010 on Thursday nights, Brent will begin teaching the content of the Pastoral Epistles open to the public as an outreach. This sermon also was recorded at the Caldwell Banker Building.

Do you worship God just externally, or do you worship Him with your heart. This sermon may be the only from Brent’s exposition of the entire book. It is the very last–possibly the least bleak of the sermons on Joel.

Beginning this audio is an example of how Covenant Community does “children’s church” on Sunday mornings. If you aren’t already aware, CCC is a family-integrated church. We are committed to keeping our children with us throughout our Sunday gathering. Following our songs to the Lord, a church member, in this case Brent, engage the children on their level.

These scriptures under examination draw out the vital doctrine of Eternal Sonship, and the declaration or exaltation of His Eternal Sonship at the Resurrection. This sermon was recorded at the Caldwell Banker Building.

While Brent was officiating Anthony and Jen’s wedding, Ryan Cavanaugh presented an introduction to 2nd Peter to Covenant Community Church. 2nd Peter is perhaps the most doubted canonically. Ryan sets up a defense for it’s legitimacy and authority within the biblical text. Then he shows how Peter evidences the doctrines of Election and Imputation. Ryan will finish by explaining the significance of “our God and Savior, Jesus Christ”

Brent Ward delivers his first sermon from the long awaited exposition of Romans. The text famously begins, “Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle” and set apart for the gospel of God.” Brent explained and preached this Gospel to his church family in the Caldwell Banker building in Desoto.
